Really enjoying learning about this stuff! In my final sign version I vcarved down the "Blue Ridge Sign" lettering because of this issue- but I'd really rather have it raised than engraved down like the photo I uploaded, but you can see the issues I think. Vectric VCarve Desktop Create Vector Texture. This repeats until the next hour wherein the hour hand also moves counterclockwise to the next hour. It was only after looking at the grain of the wood that I realized the 'weathering' was engraved. I wondered how you managed to get flat, raised letters on top of the weathered wood. To advance to the next minute, the minute hand runs counterclockwise for 59 minutes (equivalent to moving clockwise one minute). The weathered effect on the native American piece really had me stumped for a couple of minutes. I'm using a shopbot and vcarve pro- both only a couple months old. VCarve Pro has over 30 hours of tutorials available based on real-world examples that cover all aspects of. It works by having the hands at rest for most of the current time. I posted a couple of other signs that were from other threads that look amazing and their grain runs right up against the text- can't figure out how to do that? Any suggestions would be appreciated. I tried to figure out a way to do this, but couldn't. But when I use the Texture tool and the Vector texture tool- both make the bit run into any raised lettering- I did use the vector offset and that helped- but still not what I was hoping for. I'm trying to do a woodgrain effect on a sign and many future signs I'm sure will call for it- would apply to just general texturing as well.
